some favorite things

I found that glass enclosed shadow box at a great bargain. I decided to put two of my Cathy Cullis pieces in it. Next to that is my newest piece from Julie Whitmore, an owl beaker that I just love drinking my chocolate strawberry tea from. That old crow is made from a recycled steel drum that I found at one of my favorite summer arts and crafts fairs in Washington. I remember trying to figure out how to get it home since we were on our motorcycle that day. :-)

Lovely things. I really like the Julie Whitmore piece. I have been admiring her Etsy shop for a while, but have yet to purchase something.

Your collected things and arrangement is so beautiful and tranquil. Isn't it great to have a favorite cup...like it makes the beverage of choice even better:)

Thanks everyone.........Christina, it was luck that I got that owl beaker, her stuff sells out in seconds! Medieval Muse, I think i might try some Chocovine in it next, and thank you Angela..... Angela, i am sorry that I am still not able to post comments on your blog. I haven't figured out why yet, and my computer skills are not good so it might be awile. It is frustrating though.

Sorry you're still stranded in No Comment Land. Sometimes I'm kept mum by my idiosyncratic computer too, so I thought I'd take a moment to say how nice it is to see a new post from you. Has Cathy seen how you framed her work? I think she'd be delighted to see the unique way you've housed it in your home. All pieces are so charming together!

I figured how to leave comments.... it's not the best but it's better than mothing! I don't know if Cathy has seen this. I really do love her work. did you get her latest zine, Violet Goodenough?

Help! I think I caught your bug; I've been having the worst time staying signed in and since leaving my last comment with you I can't leave one on my sister's blog after many tries. (sniff)
No, I haven't seen Violet Goodenough, though I'm a big fan too.

I have been having very strange things happen on blogger lately. I had to delete one blog because everytime I went to the dashboard, that blog was asking me for my password. That blog did, not blogger!

Yes, that's what's been happening to me at my sister's blog. Well, didn't my husband come home and unclick the stay signed in box (that I never clicked ON) and suddenly everything was back to normal. He notices things I don't. Please forgive my panic.

Oh, and by the way I couldn't get into your comments box this morning until I thought to open it in a new tab, in which case it opened up full screen. Just an interesting tidbit.

Hi Linda,
Sorry to leave this message on your blog, but since I have no other way to reach you I thought I should let you know that my initial connection with your blog affected my ability to leave a comment in return for yours on my blog. Eventually I managed to uncheck the "stay signed in" box but had no luck until, after several attempts, things fell back into place. It's a drag with dial up as everything is slow to begin with so I can imagine your frustration. Even now I don't know if this message will "take", but one can always hope.
Anyway, I thought I would give you a heads up so that if you should fall down the abyss you'll know to perservere.
My best wishes to you.
