Kachina

I found this on Ebay. It is a Kachina made by my friend Maggie. It is her interpretation of a Kachina so it doesn't represent any traditional doll. I love it because it was made by her and I was able to add it to my collection.

Thanks MM and thanks Angela for your compliment. I always had a love for Making things. As a child I would string beads and make things..... In my twenties though, I learned Native American peyote beading and other stitches from a Cherokee Elder. It was a life lesson as well as learning to craft with your hands...... It was something that did change my life and led me down a different path. thanks for following my blog. I started it after my husband passed away to remind myself of the good things that I still have.

I find sewing always makes me relax, just putting a needle through cloth!! I am quite new to blogging but I really enjoy seeing how creative and warm hearted people are all over the place! I hope you will enjoy following my blog.I am very lucky to be living in Cornwall which is a very inspiring place. How wonderful to have learned your craft from an elder.
